Content Focus ( the purpose or function of this instructional module):
The purpose of this instructional module of the cardiovascular system is an introduction to the heart and major vessels, with a basic understanding of function, related medical terminology and major pathology conditions.
Objectives - At the completion of this class the student will be able to:
1. The learner will diagram the pathway of blood through the heart, correctly identifying 12 major anatomy points and distinguish between oxygenated and deoxygenated blood with a minimum of 90% accuracy.
2. The learner will identify and define 6 - 10 major pathology conditions of the heart using appropriate medical terminology with a minimum of 85% accuracy.
3. The learner will construct an online definition of a related medical pathology condition using proper medical terminology in the correct context with a minimum of 85% accuracy according to presentation guidelines.
